Worth their weight in gold!

So, we finished up school and hit the road.

One of the biggest worries I had was the kids leaving school,

they love their friends and educators so so much.

The excitement of the trip was taking over, Elle and Noah knew

that something awesome was coming.

We gave them plenty of warning so did the educators. One of Noah’s educators said, “Noah was so wise today, he told his best mate to play with me lots because you won’t see me for a long time” His mate was oblivious to the concept.

I was dreading their last day, I loved their centre, they had become like family to us. I mean, this is the kind of the impact you want to have on families? I remember families leaving and how sad they were and how I still have contact with children and families many years later. I now completely understand.

To say we felt loved is an understatement.

The educators went above and beyond to make photo collages, print photos of my children and their closest friends (to take on holidays) and even went out of their way to write us letters and a card. Their words were so genuine and honest. They knew our babies and they were going to miss them.

This kind of love is irreplaceable. Will we find it again? Maybe not? But maybe we will?

I can’t stress enough going from being an educator to a Mum how valuable this kind of love is. How much the quote “it takes a village” to raise your child, is true. Some families don’t have a huge support system, and educators are their second family.

I will never be able to thank them all enough for what they do, day in and day out. Finding educators like this, it is hitting the jackpot, they are worth their weight in gold.
